Returns Policy

Please read the information below prior to purchasing from in order to familiarise yourself with our policies in relation to cancellations, refunds and faulty items. You can change or cancel an order prior to it being dispatched from our warehouse. If the order has been dispatched, you can return the goods to us and we will organise a refund. Your refund will be processed once the item has been inspected to ensure it is intact and in its original packaging. All returns should be sent to the address below:

Your Right To Cancel Your Order

When you make a purchase online you have a statutory right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days; you then have 14 days from the date you cancelled the order to return the product to Expert.  It is your responsibility to take reasonable care of the goods prior to returning them. If you have not used the product and it is returned to us in the original packaging, you will receive a full refund. Your refund will be made within 7 days of receipt of the appliance. Please note: a) You will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us. A full refund of the value of the goods will be issued upon proof of the items being returned & an inspection being carried out. b) Hygiene seals on any personal care products such as shavers, hair styling products etc. must be intact.  c) Tamper seals on technology products such as tablets, laptops & phones must be intact. d) Customised or personalised goods cannot be refunded or exchanged. You the customer are responsible for the due care of the products being returned.

Refund Policy Exclusions

If you have used the product or had it installed, we may not be able to sell it to someone else. This means that where the value of the product is reduced by your use, we may only make a partial refund. Examples of products that will be excluded from a full refund:

  1. Kitchen appliances – where installation of the appliance has already taken place.
  2. Personal hygiene products such as shavers, electric toothbrushes, hairstyling products where the hygiene seal has been broken.
  3. Headphones that have been removed from original packaging.
  4. Computer & technology products such as laptop, software DVDs/CDs where the tamper seal is broken.
  5. Mobile phones where the tamper seal has been broken and the phone has been used.
This Returns Policy is in accordance with The European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013.

Goods Damaged in Transit 

Damaged goods need to be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Please contact us at  or on (064) 663 1995 to report any damages. We will arrange to have the goods returned and either offer a replacement or refund the price to you. 


Once the item has been returned to our Head Office and an inspection has taken place refunds will be made via the method of payment you used to make your online purchase. Refunds will normally be processed within 3-5 working days.

Return of Faulty Goods

If a product is defective in any way, please arrange to return the item by contacting us. Please note that you are responsible for the cost of returning the item to O’Learys Expert. An acknowledgement or your request to return will be provided.

We will either deliver a new product to you or refund you the cost of the product. Please do not bring faulty items back to any of the Expert stores. In some cases, an inspection of the product by a qualified engineer may be required. A repair or replacement product may be offered. Standard delivery charged will be refunded.

Repair of Faulty Goods 

Goods returned for repair will be assessed and/or repaired within a reasonable time frame. These times may vary due to reasons beyond our control. If items are deemed to have been damaged due to misuse or accident, or in cases where your statutory rights or any manufacturer’s warranty do not apply; you may be required to pay labour, assessment and/or freight charges.

We recommend that you back up data stored on any devise prior to sending it back for repair as the repair or replacement may result in a loss of said data. This includes files stored on hard drives, photos and music stored on mobile devices. We will not be responsible for any data loss. To return your order(s) please contact  or call (064) 663 1995. Orders cannot be returned to other Expert Stores.

Your Consumer Rights

Consumer contracts are protected by the Sale of Good and Supply of Services Act 1980 (as amended) (“the Act”) and other applicable legislation. Under the Act the purchaser of goods has a number of rights, including that; a)Goods must be of merchantable quality – goods should be of reasonable quality taking into account what they are meant to do, their durability and their price; and b)Goods must be fit for their purpose – they must do what they are reasonably expected to do; c)Goods must be as described – the buyer must not be mislead into buying something by the description of goods or services given orally by a salesperson or an advertisement.
